This 10-day motorcycle expedition takes riders on an unforgettable journey through the diverse landscapes of Northeast India, covering the Himalayan heights of Arunachal Pradesh, the wildlife-rich plains of Assam, and the lush green hills of Meghalaya.

The adventure begins in Guwahati and quickly ascends into the Eastern Himalayas, where riders experience thrilling mountain roads, high-altitude passes, and breathtaking scenery en route to Tawang. Highlights include crossing the iconic Sela Pass, riding through the strategically important Sela Tunnel, and visiting the remote Bum La Pass near the Indo-China border. The journey offers a perfect blend of adventure and culture, with visits to ancient monasteries, war memorials, and serene mountain towns.

As the expedition descends into Assam, the landscape transforms into vast plains and dense forests. At Kaziranga National Park, riders enjoy an exciting wildlife safari, with the chance to spot the famous one-horned rhinoceros and other native species, along with an authentic Assamese culinary experience.

The route then continues into Meghalaya, known for its rolling hills, waterfalls, and unique natural wonders. Riders explore the vibrant hill town of Shillong, the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River in Dawki, and the cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong. The journey also includes a visit to the famous living root bridges and the misty landscapes of Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth.

Designed for motorcycle enthusiasts, this expedition combines challenging terrains, scenic routes, cultural immersion, and comfortable stays. This tour is suitable for Riders who have experience touring on two wheels.90% Of this tour takes places on good Tarmac roads, 10% Takes place on good hardpacked Gravel roads. If you are not comfortable on the Gravel, we can plan alternate tar routes for you. We recommend being bike-fit, However Rest Days are scheduled regularly.

  2. Personal Expenses:
    Any expenses of a personal nature are not included in the tour cost. This includes (but is not limited to) laundry, telephone calls, beverages, room service, tips, snacks, shopping, and any additional meals not mentioned in the inclusions.
  3. Force Majeure:
    Any costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control will be borne by the participant. This includes events such as natural calamities (landslides, floods, earthquakes), extreme weather conditions, road closures, political disturbances, government restrictions, pandemics, or any other force majeure situations.
    In such cases, any additional expenses for accommodation, transportation, or route changes will be payable directly by the participant.

Day 1 – Arrival in Guwahati & Ride Preparation

Your motorcycle journey across Northeast India begins in Guwahati, the gateway to the region. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take time to assemble and inspect your motorcycle, riding gear, luggage systems, and communication devices.

In the afternoon, enjoy a short acclimatization ride to the revered Kamakhya Temple, perched atop Nilachal Hill, offering sweeping views of the Brahmaputra River. Spend the evening riding along the riverfront or exploring local markets and cafés. A detailed ride briefing will be conducted covering route plans, safety protocols, weather conditions, and riding discipline.


Day 2 – Ride from Guwahati to Bomdila

The expedition begins early as you ride out of Guwahati toward Arunachal Pradesh. The journey starts through Assam’s plains, passing lush tea gardens and rural landscapes.

At Bhalukpong Gate, complete permit formalities before entering Arunachal. From here, the road follows the scenic Kameng River, gradually climbing into the Eastern Himalayas. Expect winding roads, forest stretches, and stunning valley views.

Arrive in Bomdila by evening, a peaceful hill town known for its monasteries and Himalayan vistas. If time permits, visit Bomdila Monastery for a serene end to the day.


Day 3 – Ride from Bomdila to Tawang via Sela Pass

One of the most iconic riding days of the expedition. Begin early and ascend through pine forests and waterfalls toward the majestic Sela Pass (13,700 ft).

The pass offers breathtaking views of snow-clad peaks and the beautiful Sela Lake. After spending time soaking in the scenery, descend toward Tawang. En route, visit the historic Jaswant Garh War Memorial, honoring bravery from the 1962 war.

Reach Tawang by evening and relax in this high-altitude Himalayan town.


Day 4 – Tawang to Bum La Pass Excursion

Today’s ride takes you to the extreme frontiers of India. Ride toward Bum La Pass, located on the Indo-China border.

The route is rugged and dramatic, passing high-altitude lakes including the famous Madhuri Lake (Sangetsar Lake). At Bum La, witness the international border and interact with Indian Army personnel.

Return to Tawang by afternoon. In the evening, visit the magnificent Tawang Monastery, one of the largest monasteries in Asia.


Day 5 – Ride from Tawang to Bomdila via Sela Pass & Sela Tunnel

After breakfast, begin the return journey from Tawang toward Bomdila. Today’s ride offers a fresh perspective of the same dramatic Himalayan landscapes.

While descending from Tawang, riders will cross the iconic Sela Pass once again, enjoying breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks and the serene Sela Lake. On the return stretch, the route also includes riding through the newly developed Sela Tunnel, reducing travel time and providing a unique high-altitude riding experience through one of India’s most strategic mountain tunnels.

En route, stop at scenic viewpoints and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial for a short break. Continue riding through winding mountain roads and forested valleys before reaching Bomdila by evening.

Day 6 – Ride from Bomdila to Kaziranga (Assam Plains Experience)

After breakfast, descend from the mountains of Arunachal Pradesh into the plains of Assam. The ride transitions from cool mountain air to warmer countryside roads lined with tea gardens and rural villages.

Arrive at Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its one-horned rhinoceros. After check-in, enjoy an authentic Assamese lunch experience featuring traditional bamboo chicken, along with vegetarian options prepared in local style.

Spend the evening at leisure amidst the natural surroundings.

Day 7 – Kaziranga Safari & Ride to Shillong

Start your day early with a thrilling morning jungle safari in Kaziranga National Park. Explore the grasslands and wetlands, home to rhinos, elephants, wild buffalo, and a variety of bird species.

After breakfast, begin your ride toward Shillong. The journey takes you across Assam’s plains before gradually ascending into the scenic hills of Meghalaya.

Reach Shillong by evening and relax after a rewarding day of wildlife and riding.

Day 8 – Ride from Shillong to Cherrapunji via Dawki & Mawlynnong

After breakfast, embark on one of the most scenic rides in Meghalaya.

Ride toward Dawki, where you will experience boating on the crystal-clear Umngot River, famous for its glass-like water. Continue to Mawlynnong Village, known as the cleanest village in Asia, and explore its beautifully maintained surroundings.

Visit the nearby Living Root Bridge at Riwai, a remarkable natural formation created by guiding tree roots over decades.

After a full day of exploration, continue riding to Cherrapunji (Sohra) and check into your hotel.

Day 9 – Ride from Cherrapunji to Guwahati

After breakfast, begin your return ride from Cherrapunji to Guwahati. Descend through misty hills and lush green valleys of Meghalaya before entering the plains of Assam.

Enjoy scenic stops along the way before reaching Guwahati by evening. Spend your final night relaxing or exploring the city at your own pace.

Day 10 – Departure from Guwahati

After breakfast, the motorcycle expedition comes to an end. Transfer to the airport or railway station with unforgettable memories of your Northeast India adventure.

We understand that travel plans may change due to unforeseen circumstances. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while ensuring smooth tour operations.

  • More than 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour cost will be deducted as administrative charges
  • 30 to 21 days before departure: 30% of total tour cost will be charged
  • 20 to 15 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost will be charged
  • 14 to 7 days before departure: 75% of total tour cost will be charged
  • Less than 7 days before departure / No Show: 100% of total tour cost will be charged (no refund)
