DAY 1 & 2: Orientation, Welcome Party & Tokyo Departure
The day prior to our departure marks the commencement of our journey. During a pre-departure briefing, our tour guides will ensure that you embark on your Japanese adventure with both safety and enjoyment in mind. They will provide detailed explanations of Japan’s riding regulations, peculiarities, cultural nuances, and, of course, the comprehensive schedule for your tour.
Our expedition kicks off with a ride along some of the country’s most breathtaking panoramic routes, including the Ashinoko Skyline, which runs alongside the picturesque Lake Ashinoko, and the legendary Izu Skyline, a dream road for any avid biker with its winding curves. A highlight of the journey is a visit to Oshino Hakkai, a charming village nestled in the Fuji Five Lake region. In close proximity, eight ponds boasting exceptionally clear water, sourced from the snowmelt of Mount Fuji and filtered through porous layers of lava for over 80 years, await exploration. Throughout our ride, the majestic Mount Fuji, Japan’s tallest peak and an unmistakable symbol of the nation, will keep a watchful eye over us.
Our day concludes with relaxation in the soothing hot spring waters of the Hakone area, renowned as one of Japan’s most popular hot spring resorts.
DAY 3: Hakone → Nishi-Izu
Commencing the day with a Ropeway expedition through the Owakudani Valley, formed by an eruption of Mount Hakone 3000 years ago, brace yourself for the mesmerizing sight of sulphurous vapors and the imposing volcanic rock formations. Returning to our motorcycles, we’ll traverse to the Izu Peninsula, surrounded by vibrant green wasabi fields, for an authentic hands-on experience in wasabi picking. The thrill continues with a ride on the renowned Kawazu Loop Bridge, acclaimed as one of the world’s most spectacular bridges. The day concludes in the captivating Nishi-Izu region, an authentic seaside resort, where you can indulge in the enchanting experience of a seaside hot spring bath, accompanied by stunning sea views.
DAY 4: Nishi-Izu → Nagano
Embark on the day with a thrilling journey on the Nishi-Izu Skyline, a revered riding road in Japan. A pitstop at Numazu port offers an opportunity to savor delectable seafood for lunch. Our route then winds around the slopes of Mount Fuji, leading to an authentic ranch experience at Fuji Milkland. Progressing to the Chubu region, our day concludes at a hotel on Mount Tateshina in Nagano, a historic site of the 1998 Winter Olympic Games.
DAY 5: Nagano → Kusatsu
Following an exhilarating ride on the scenic Venus Line and its challenging curves, our journey takes us to Matsumoto, where the iconic Matsumoto Castle, dating back to the 16th century, awaits exploration. Our final destination for the day is the ancient and soothing Kusatsu city, renowned as one of the country’s top hot spring resorts. The hot waters, sourced from Mount Kusatsu-Shirane, are believed by locals to possess healing properties for all forms of pain except matters of the heart.
DAY 6: Kusatsu → Nikko
Transitioning from one picturesque hot spring location to another, our day commences with an awe-inspiring ride on the Irohazaka mountain road, celebrated for its challenging curves. Traversing lakes and mountains, we’ll reach Mount Akagi for a scenic lunch break. The journey continues with a return motorcycle ride through the mystical forests of the Nikko area, concluding in Kinugawa, another splendid hot spring resort. Here, indulge in delicious Japanese cuisine within the luxurious confines of a traditional Japanese accommodation.
DAY 7: Nikko → Odaiba (Tokyo)
On the final day, explore the majestic Nikko Toshogu, the resting place of Shogunate founder Tokugawa Ieyasu, a marvel of Japanese architecture. Our next stop before the return is the Twin Ring Motegi Circuit, a dream destination for sport riders. The day concludes with a memorable ride to Odaiba, where we gather for our farewell party, reminiscing about the incredible journey and eagerly anticipating our next adventure together.
