Day 1: Chiang Mai – Doi Inthanon – Mae Sariang (278 km)

Commence your motorcycle journey by acquainting yourself with your bike as you head south from Chiang Mai to the majestic Doi Inthanon National Park, Thailand’s highest peak at 2,565 meters above sea level. Navigate through the superb winding mountain roads adorned with picturesque pine forest scenery. Explore the park’s highlights, including Thailand’s finest waterfall, nature trails, Royal pagodas, and botanical gardens. Descend to Mae Chaem for a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant. Post-lunch, continue your ride through enchanting pine forests until reaching Mae Sariang, nestled near the Myanmar border, where you’ll unwind in peaceful accommodation.

Day 2: Mae Sariang – Mae Hong Son – Pai (287 km)

Following breakfast, depart from Mae Sariang towards Mae Hong Son, conquering narrow, twisty, and curvy roads. Take a break in Khun Yuam to visit a World War II museum. Explore Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu, the first temple of Mae Hong Son atop a hill. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and visit the Su Tong Pae Bamboo Bridge, supposedly the longest bamboo bridge in Thailand. Continue your journey on winding roads to reach Pai, where charming accommodation with a swimming pool awaits. In the evening, dine on delectable local cuisine near the river and explore the delights of the Walking Street market.

Day 3: Pai – Chiang Dao – Tha Ton (270 km)

Before breakfast, seize the opportunity to offer food to monks along the streets of Pai’s local market. After breakfast, visit the Pai World War II Memorial Bridge and resume your ride on winding mountainous roads. Reach Chiang Dao for a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant and explore the Chiang Dao cave. Ride along fantastic mountain roads, often referred to as Thailand’s “Little Toscana,” until reaching Tha Ton. Visit Wat Tha Ton atop the mountain, relishing the breathtaking sunset, and relax in accommodation with a fantastic river view.

Day 4: Tha Ton – Golden Triangle (144 km)

After breakfast, leave Tha Ton to visit the long-neck Karen tribe village near the Thailand-Myanmar border. Proceed to Doi Mae Salong, home to Chinese mountain tea farmers, where you can savor Thailand’s best tea. Return on curvy roads to Doi Tung Royal Villa, exploring the Winter Palace and botanical garden. Lunch at the Royal’s Project restaurant precedes a journey to Mae Sai, Thailand’s northernmost point. Visit Wat Tham Pla to feed wild monkeys, then reach the Golden Triangle for a long-tail boat trip on the Mekong River, including a visit to a small village in Laos. Explore the Opium Museum before relaxing at your accommodation along the mighty Mekong River.

Day 5: Golden Triangle – Chiang Rai – Nan (328 km)

Post-breakfast, ride through scenic farming areas to Chiang Rai. Visit the renowned White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), ranked among the top 10 wonder temples globally. Lunch at a local restaurant precedes an exhilarating ride on the mountainous highway to Nan. Explore Wat Phra That Khao Noi, a hilltop scenic temple, before relaxing in accommodation with a swimming pool. Experience Nan’s nightlife in the evening.

Day 6: Rest Day in Nan

Enjoy a leisurely day, whether relaxing by the pool, shopping in town, or optionally discovering the historical and cultural sites of unseen Nan by bicycle. Laundry service is available.

Day 7: Nan – Bo Kluea – Phayao (334 km)

After breakfast, ride through winding mountainous roads, including the famous motorcycle paradise road R1081 to Bo Kluea. Visit the Bo Kluea salt wells and continue through Doi Phu Kha National Park to Chiang Klang, where lunch awaits in a local restaurant. Ride the exhilarating, mountainous road R1148 to Chiang Kham, ranking in the Top 10 as one of the most enjoyable biking roads worldwide. Cruise along highway R1021 through farming areas to reach Phayao. Discover Kwan Phayao Lake, one of Thailand’s largest, before arriving at charming accommodation.

Day 8: Phayao – Chiang Mai (154 km)

Conclude your adventure after breakfast, leaving unseen Phayao. Ride around Phayao Lake (Kwan Phayao), one of Northern Thailand’s largest lakes. Continue on the windy mountain dream road R120 to Tan Tong waterfall and Mae Kachan hot spring. Lunch at a local restaurant by the hot spring is followed by a visit to a local market. After refreshments, head back to Chiang Mai, completing an incredible motorcycle journey.
